Blow 36 X 24 Oil on Canvas
The meaning of this painting is to simply symbolize the start of a relationship. Also to contrast with the innocence of blowing bubbles to the natural anxiety of beginning something new. This was the first of The Bubble Series.

bubble series I
The Bubble Series is a metaphor for relationships. In my eyes, when you first blow a bubble, it is the most amazing creation as you watch it float through the air, dancing and twirling for a few seconds... then it POPS and you start again. From my experiences, relationships are the same only backwards. It takes an initial "pop” between two individuals, which creates the most beautiful feeling that you experience for a measure of time, whether it be a few hours or a several years, until someone "blows it."
The Moment is a reflection of the classic game of Tic-Tac-Toe but instead of X's and O's, it's Exes and Ohs... get it? Just another play on words and the dualities that are hidden in the work.
